Calcined Petroleum Coke
Petroleum coke is the product of carbonization of petroleum refining residue after high temperature treatment. It is characterized by low ash impurity content, high temperature liquid phase arrangement and easy graphitization. It is one of the by-products of petroleum refining process.
Came out from the oil refinery of petroleum coke is commonly raw coke, it contains about 10% - 14% of the volatile, petroleum coke need after 1350 ℃ high temperature calcination to remove volatile can be used as a carbon material, quality of petroleum coke calcined by determination of the calcined petroleum coke true density, resistivity, ash content, volatile matter and moisture index to evaluate, the level of the quality indicators are mainly depends on the duration of the calcination temperature and high temperature.
The higher the temperature and the longer the duration, the lower the corresponding resistivity and the greater the true density.
Calcined petroleum coke has the characteristics of small expansion coefficient, good thermal stability and easy graphitization at high temperature.
