Product introduction

Alias: Tungsten

English name: Ferrotungsten

Properties: Tungsten iron is one of the most important alloying elements for the production of special steel. It is widely used in the refining of high speed tool steel, alloy structural steel, magnetic steel, heat resistant steel and stainless steel. Tungsten can be combined with other elements into a complex carbide in steel, which makes the grain of steel thinner, thus improving the red hardness, wear resistance and impact strength of steel, and reducing the elongation of steel to a small extent. At the same time, increasing the strength limit and yield point of the steel can also increase the hardness and wear resistance of the steel. It is particularly important that tungsten has a good influence on the high temperature mechanical properties of steel, which improves the heat and tempering stability.

Description: Tungsten-iron alloy series (containing tungsten: 70%-80%), is an alloy composed of tungsten and iron, used as an alloying additive for steelmaking. Commonly used tungsten iron has two kinds of tungsten containing 70% and 80%.

Tungsten iron is produced by reduction of tungsten-manganese ore in an electric furnace with carbon. It is mainly used as an alloying element adding agent for tungsten-containing alloy steels such as high-speed steel. China's production of tungsten iron has three varieties of W701, W702, W65, etc., containing about 65 to 70% of tungsten. Since the melting point is high and it cannot be discharged in a liquid state, it is produced by agglomeration or iron extraction.

Production Process

1) Use an open electric furnace that can move on the track and the upper part of the furnace body is detachable, and carbon is used as a reducing agent. The mixed charge consisting of refined tungsten ore, asphalt coke (or petroleum coke) and slag-forming agent (aluminum bauxite) is added to the furnace in batches. The metal obtained in the furnace is generally viscous. As the thickness increases, the lower part gradually becomes Solidification In the submerged arc furnace, the ore is reduced to ferronickel by carbothermal method, followed by refining. Frost is 90%.

2) After the furnace is full, the furnace is stopped, the furnace body is pulled out, and the upper furnace body is removed to cause the agglomeration to condense. The clot is then removed for crushing and finishing; the edges, the slag and the unqualified portion are re-melted. The product contains about 80% tungsten and contains no more than 1% carbon.

Our advantage

1. Large goods come directly from refineries or ports, without transit.

2. Year-round cooperative fleet, no special fare increase for transportation safety.
