Product introduction

Alias: ferrosilicon

English name: ferrosilicon

Nature: The main component is ferrosilicon, which is made of coke, steel scrap, quartz (or silica) and smelted in an electric furnace. Silicon and oxygen are readily synthesized into silica. Therefore, ferrosilicon is often used in steelmaking as a deoxidizer. At the same time, due to SiO, a large amount of heat is released during the formation, and at the same time, the temperature of the molten steel can be lowered to reduce the energy consumption of the steelmaking. Ferrosilicon is an essential deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry. In steelmaking, ferrosilicon is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation. Ferrosilicon is also used as an alloying agent in steelmaking. The addition of a certain amount of silicon to the steel can significantly increase the strength, hardness and elasticity of the steel, increase the magnetic permeability of the steel, and reduce the hysteresis loss of the transformer steel.

Introduction: Ferrosilicon is an iron alloy composed of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon is a ferrosilicon alloy made from coke, steel scrap, quartz (or silica) and smelted in an electric furnace. Since silicon and oxygen are easily synthesized into silica, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking, and at the same time, a large amount of heat is released during the formation of SiO2, and it is also advantageous to increase the temperature of the molten steel while deoxidizing. At the same time, ferrosilicon can also be used as an alloying element additive, widely used in low alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat resistant steel and electrical silicon steel. Ferrosilicon is often used as a reducing agent in iron alloy production and chemical industry.

Production Process

1) Ferrosilicon is made from coke, steel scrap, quartz (or silica) and smelted in an electric furnace.

2) Most of the smelting ferrosilicon uses metallurgical coke as a reducing agent, and steel scrap is a regulator of ferrosilicon. The ore is reduced to ferronickel by a carbothermal method in a submerged arc furnace, followed by refining. Frost is 90%.

Our advantage

1. Large goods come directly from refineries or ports, without transit.

2. Year-round cooperative fleet, no special fare increase for transportation safety.
